Seasons change
Oct 25, 2019
Closing out the month of October and entering the month of November gives us a moment to pause and reflect on the beginning of the school year and to plan for what is yet to come. Trimester one will come to a close in just a couple more weeks. There have been many opportunities to celebrate learning at all of our schools with family literacy nights, library events, Latino Heritage celebrations, Trunk N Treat events, and many more. I hope you have been able to participate at your child's school as often as possible.
The air is crisp outside while learning keeps us warm inside. Learning is definitely on the rise which makes me think of the temperature rising rather than falling like it is outside. Students are doing a great job of getting closer to their individual goals in reading and mathematics and teachers are doing amazing work helping them to continue to climb. Together we can make a difference for all of our students through strong partnerships between home and school.
The 2019-20 Illinois 5-Essentials Parent Survey is available now for parents to access. The survey is available in both English and Spanish. Your input is very important. Please click the following link to access the parent survey for your child's school: survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois
Be safe as the weather begins to shift. I am hopeful for a mild shift in weather so we can maintain our momentum in learning.
As always, if you have any questions or comments feel free to click here or you can also find the "Let's Talk" logo at the top of the district website.
