A Message from Principal
Christopher Latting
Welcome to the newest Joliet Public Schools District 86 school, Isaac Singleton Elementary School. Our new boundaries include Elgin Ave on the South, Rosalind on the North, Farrell Road on the East, and Draper Ave. on the East.
After three years in our temporary home at Parks Cultural Studies Academy we enthusiastically moved into our new home in October of 2011. The building was constructed with the surrounding environment in mind. Students, parents, and staff all agree that it is beautiful and educationally friendly place to learn.
Our student body consists of 510 children in grades Pre-Kindergarten to Fifth. This includes bilingual classrooms for grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Students participate in a rigorous curriculum that includes best practices, the newest technology, and a cultural study of three countries each year.
We are a Professional Development School partnered with the University of St. Francis. This partnership provides the university candidates an opportunity to learn and provides our students and teachers various unique educational experiences.
At Singleton Elementary School our day goes from 8 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. After school we have various tutoring program available along with a District Community Computer Center that is open from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
We welcome you to Isaac Singleton Elementary School!
