Students Are The Reason

May 04, 2018

Spring has finally sprung.... or is it summer!  Our weather patterns seem to be a bit mixed up, but we are definitely enjoying the sunshine!

We have had great opportunities to celebrate our students this week.  We recognized our state science fair winners, robotics team members, tech showcase team, Joliet Alliance for Youth Student of Excellence winners, and the TREP (Three Rivers Educational Partnership) safety poster contest winners at our last board meeting.  You can read more about this recognition by accessing the information under the Superintendent's Report on the board agenda at https://www.boarddocs.com/il/joliet86/Board.nsf/Public

This week also included the Chamber Scholarship Dinner for students in grades 4th through 8th who were selected for the Hawk Scholarship through the Joliet Chamber.  We had nineteen students receive the scholarship award!

Amazing students, dedicated teachers and staff, inspired leaders, and focused partnerships bring all aspects of the team together for us to continue to build our vibrancy within the community.  I am blessed to be part of the team that is supporting the journey toward excellence.
