Spring Break!

Spring Break is here! Taking a break is a very useful and necessary tool to help reset ourselves for the changing seasons both inside and outside the classroom. The weather looks like it will be nice this coming week. Here are some ideas for some fun things you could do during break that have learning hidden inside:
Go on a hike at one of the Will County Forest Preserve Locations.
Visit the Joliet Area Historical Museum.
Visit one of the amazing parks provided for our use by the Joliet Park District.
Read books together as a family.
Just a few ideas that could easily lead to drawing a picture or writing a short paragraph about what was experienced. Incorporating body and mind in activities over the break helps learning alive.
