Closing out the year
May 24, 2021
As we near the end of the 2020-21 school year, there are many moments of thankfulness and reflection.
I am thankful for each and every member of our school community - students, parents, teachers, staff, administrators, community members. This has been a challenging year, to say the least. However, each and every person has brought all of their energy into each and every decision made.
I am thankful for the perseverance and determination that helped us all get through the worst of a global pandemic. We are reaching safer levels with hope that we are turning the corner into our new normal.
I reflect on the emotional drain that this past year been. There has been illness that led to recovery as well as illness that led to death. As a community, we have all experienced loss in one way or another and yet we are all standing together to help those around us to move forward.
The resilience of this school community and of the community-at-large will help us to reach a new level that I am confident will bring positive growth and energy to each of us.
I look forward to a summer of rejuvenation and preparation for a new school year in August when we can actually be back to in-person learning for all.
