Congratulations to student athletes Kayden Miller (Dirksen), Lorenzo Gonzalez (Hufford), Eduardo Nunez (Gompers) and Quentin Butler (Washington) who qualified to compete at the Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) State Wrestling Tournament at Northern Illinois University.
Lorenzo Gonzalez and Quentin Butler took home fourth place awards and Kayden Miller placed fifth in their individual weight classes. The students were coached by Dirksen/Hufford Wrestling Team: Mark Gardner, Robert Hauge, Andrew Jones, Jean Mondesir; Gompers/Washington Wrestling Team: Jason Kuefler, Donald Thomas, and Gabe Venegas.
