The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our number one priority. We are monitoring the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. There are no known cases of COVID-19 in Will County. Practicing good hygiene, however, is the best prevention from getting sick.  Please remind your children to:

  • Frequently wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and warm water, especially after coughing, sneezing, using the restroom, and before eating.
  • Always cover nose and mouth with a tissue when they cough or sneeze and throw the tissue in the trash after using it.
  • Do not share personal items such as towels, water bottles, or eating utensils with others.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth and avoid close contact with people who are sick.

In an attempt to reduce the spread of germs in our schools, student instructional areas are routinely cleaned with a government approved disinfectant.  All students are also required to wash their hands or use a hand sanitizer prior to eating at school.

If the spread of the virus escalates into our community, we will work closely with the Will County Health Department and the Will County Regional Office of Education to inform you of additional public health recommendations.

For more information on COVID-19 is available at www.cdc.gov/coronaviruswww.dph.illinois.gov., or by calling the Illinois Department of Health and Illinois Poison Center hotline at (800) 889-3931.
