The District 86 Mathematics Program provides a rigorous math content that is aligned to both state and national standards.  Our program provides focused instruction of the key skills at each grade level and provides structured opportunities for students to become mathematical thinkers in order for them to achieve mastery of these skills.  We emphasize the use of instructional strategies in order for students to gain an understanding of mathematical concepts and how these concepts relate to key ideas across the strands.
