2014-2015 Registration Information
Online Pre-Registration OPEN AS OF 3/24/14
Below is information regarding District 86 student registration for the 2014-2015 school year. All students must register each year whether or not the student is a current student in a District 86 school or a child who is new to District 86.
ALL STUDENTS must register for school each year. Please read "Registration Requirements"posted on the left hand side of this page. This document contains requirements printed in both English and Spanish.
NOTE- Depending on your computer and the internet browser you choose to use, you may need to select the "View All Documents" link on the left in order to see all of the registration documents posted here. You may also need to download and install a PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader, in order to open these PDF document files.
Online student pre-registration is now available for parents via the Parent Portal as of Monday March 24, 2014. Parents may complete and submit registration forms online. Parents will still need to bring in the required proofs of residency. Please read the Online Pre-Registration Instructions posted in the documents section on the left hand side of this page.
Registration Packets will be mailed to each Disrtict 86 family. Mailed packets contain some pre-printed forms with student and family information. Please review all of this information and make changes to the forms as necessary. Please carefully complete all additional forms and bring them with you to on-site registration. Alternately, blank registration packets are available on this web page for parents to download, print, and complete. Parents who select to use the online pre-registration system may complete these forms online.
WARNING: If a student is determined to be a nonresident of the District for whom tuition must be charged, the persons enrolling the student are liable for non-resident tuition from the date the student began attending a District school as a non-resident.
A person who knowingly enrolls or attempts to enroll in this School District on a tuition-free basis a student known by that person to be a nonresident of the district is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor, except in very limited situations as defined in State law (105 ILCS 5/10-20.12b(e).
A person who knowingly or willfully presents to the School District any false information regarding the residency of a student for the purpose of enabling that student to attend any school in that district without the payment of a nonresident tuition charge is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor (105 ILCS 5/10-20.12b(f).
