Welcome to Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, home of the Patriots! 

Our school is home to approximately 475 students (Kindergarten–Fifth Grade). We have an outstanding staff and a very dedicated PTO.  At Thomas Jefferson School we offer many opportunities for students to grow in their learning.  We have a diverse student population and currently have students enrolled in General Education, Bilingual, and Hearing Impaired programming.  Student learning at Thomas Jefferson is a partnership between students, parents, and the staff to provide an outstanding educational environment.  By working together, our students learn and grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. 

In addition to the core academics of language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and health, we offer art, music, and physical education. Our fourth and fifth grade students may elect to participate in band or orchestra as well.

We realize that successful schools result when a partnership exists between the schools, parents, and the community. Our entire Thomas Jefferson community is committed to ensuring the best possible elementary school experience for all of our children.  We will continue to have a laser-like focus on student growth and hope you visit us and get to know why we are proud to be Patriots!

Joliet Grade School Band 100th Anniversary Celebration

More than 400 Joliet Public Schools District 86 students will perform in the eleventh annual Children for Peace Fine Arts Festival on April 16, 2014.
