New Academic Advisors at Four Schools

Six new Academic Advisors are in place at Dirksen Junior High, Lynne Thigpen Elementary, Washington Junior High, and Woodland Elementary Schools in Joliet Public Schools District 86.

 

Kristin Gedmin joins the Dirksen Junior High School administrative staff after 20 years in District 86. For the past 10 years, Kristin served as an Instructional Math Coach. Rosalynn Pernell moves to Lynne Thigpen Elementary School. She previously was an academic advisor at Edna Keith Elementary and A.O. Marshall Elementary School after teaching 16 years in the District.

 

Devin Clayton, Ruairi Fennessy, and Latryce Fields-Anderson are the new academic advisors at Washington Junior High School. Combined, these individuals have over 56 years of teaching experience. For the past 12 years, Devin served as an Instructional Coach and Interventionalist at Forest Park School in Chicago. Ruairi has been a Joliet District 86 administrator at Gompers Junior High and Lynne Thigpen Elementary School for six years, and Latryce was an Instructional Coach at Higher Institute of Arts and Technology in Merrillville, Indiana.

 

Carley Loughrey has been with Joliet District 86 for 10 years. She was promoted to academic advisor at Woodland Elementary School after serving as a second-grade teacher at Lynne Thigpen Elementary School.
