Finalizing Details for the 2025-2026 School Year
The summer has been a busy one. Schools are bustling with activity as summer school and essential cleaning are in full swing. The construction of the new schools at Gompers and Hufford are on schedule. It was exciting to see the demolition of the old Gompers gym at the end of June. I also look forward to seeing the new outdoor learning spaces and playgrounds completed by the end of the summer at Eisenhower and Thigpen.
Thank you to all our families who have completed student registration already for the upcoming school year. Over 78% of students are registered, but we need additional information for the remaining students. All students must be registered by the end of the month to guarantee bus transportation (for those students who qualify) for the first day of school. Student registration can be completed on our website at https://www.joliet86.org/page/student-registration
If you need help with registration or have any questions, staff are available through July 17, 2025 at the following schools on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-6:30 p.m.
