More than 150 Sator Sanchez and Lynne Thigpen Elementary School students enjoyed visiting their personal Pumpkin Patch set up at their schools. The students attend the Joliet Public Schools District 86 Adaptive, Behavior, Communication (ABC) program at Sator Sanchez Elementary School and Living in a Functional Environment (LIFE) classrooms at Lynne Thigpen Elementary School.
Family members were invited to join their children during the classroom visits to the "pop up" pumpkin patch that were created outside the schools. Along with selecting a pumpkin to decorate, students had fun playing with corn kernels, and taking photos with their families and classmates.
Thank you to the following businesses and individuals for providing supplies, including the pumpkins, for the events: Gatica Creationz (Romeoville, IL), Konow's Corn Maze (Homer Glen, IL), the family of Sator Sanchez, Tractor Supply Company (Channahon, IL), Special Education Teacher Jacelyn Desmarais, and Student Services Coordinator Megan Warren.
