Congratulations to the Gompers Junior High School 8th Grade Girls Basketball Team for winning the Joliet Public Schools District 86 Girls Basketball District Championship. The Gompers team beat Hufford Junior High School in the Championship game. The players on the team include Angela Alvarez, Enajah April, Anastasia Arreola, Itzayana Barrios, Kaylee Diaz, Alisson Gaitan, Ajanae Jackson, Jazlyn Reyes, Sherlyn Robles, and Erika Sanjuanico. The team is coached by Eric Blaeser and Teresa Lara.
