Taft Elementary School in Joliet is planning their 95th anniversary and seeking help from the community. Pictures from Taft School may be emailed to Taft Principal Doriane Henderson at dhenderson@joliet86.org or dropped off at the school, located at 1125 Oregon Avenue, between the hours of 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Pictures will be scanned, and original photos will be returned.
The celebration, open to the public, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Current and former families and staff members are encouraged to attend. Taft 95th Anniversary T-shirts are available to purchase by calling the school at (815) 725-2700. Prices begin at $10.00. Orders and payments are due by September 10, 2025. Shirts will be available to pick up at the event. Approximately 300 students in Kindergarten through fifth grade currently attend Taft Elementary School.
