New Principals Kesha Brown and Yadira  Gomez-Munoz

Joliet Public Schools District 86 is pleased to welcome two new principals for the 2025-2026 school year. Kesha Brown has been appointed principal of T.E. Culbertson Elementary School, and Yadira Gomez-Muñoz will lead Sator Sanchez Elementary School. Both appointments took effect on July 1, 2025.

Kesha Brown has been a dedicated educator in Joliet Public Schools District 86 since 2009, most recently serving as assistant principal at Hufford Junior High School for the past four years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Lewis University and holds a Master of Education from the University of St. Francis.

With over 29 years of experience in education, Yadira Gomez-Muñoz has served as principal of Lincoln Elementary School in Maywood, Illinois, since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as two Master of Arts degrees from Governors State University - one in Elementary Education and another in Administrative Leadership.

Larry Tucker, former Culbertson Principal, is now principal at Farragut Elementary School.
