Welcome New Eisenhower Principal

Nicole Bottigliero has been named the new principal at Eisenhower Academy.  For the past two years, Nicole has served as the assistant principal at Washington Junior High School and Academy Program.

Prior to Joliet Public Schools District 86, Nicole worked in Chicago Public Schools for nine years. Past assignments include teaching second, third, fourth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade, as well as serving as a Literacy Coach.

“With her background in Chicago and experience at Washington Junior High, I am confident Mrs. Bottigliero will do an outstanding job and continue the great things that are occurring at Eisenhower Academy,” said Dr. Theresa Rouse, Superintendent of Joliet Public Schools District 86.

Nicole graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. 

Eisenhower Academy, a 2016 National Blue Ribbon School, is one of two magnet programs in Joliet Public Schools District 86.  Enrollment for the school is open to students residing within District 86 boundaries who demonstrate average or above average academic skills and exhibit positive behavior. Approximately 260 students in first through fifth grade attend the school.
