Congratulations to Washington Junior High seventh grade students Marcellus Mines and Arely Reynoso who competed in the Illinois Elementary School Association Cross-Country State Meet in Maxwell Park in Normal, Illinois. Marcellus placed #59 out of 240 male athletes and Arely placed #149 out of 233 female athletes in Class 3A. The student athletes were coached by Washington Junior High School teachers Susan Groves and Kenneth Villasenor. Coach Groves also serves as the Washington Junior High athletic director.
