The The Joliet Grade Schools Foundation for Educational Excellence presented Brenton Wadsworth memorial scholarship awards to eight Joliet Public Schools District 86 students. Each student received a $185 scholarships to pay for student high school registration and activity fees for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
Student winners included: Dirksen Junior High: Kari Dillard, Yonatan Magana Guzman; Gompers Junior High: Rosa Saenz, Luis Flores; Hufford Junior High: Joseph Herron, Claudia Villaflor; and Washington Junior High: Alexander Jones, Dyrion Porter.
Brenton Wadsworth attended Joliet Grade Schools as a child and graduated from Joliet Township High School. Mr. Wadsworth established this scholarship to help further the educational dreams of students in Joliet.
Since 2007, 108 Joliet Public Schools District 86 have received a Brenton Wadsworth scholarship through the Joliet Grade Schools Foundation.
