The Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation (ISPHF) and WalMart area stores hosted an “Operation Santa” holiday party for 578 students at the Joliet elementary school. The day began with a surprise parade featuring squad cars from Illinois State Police, fire trucks from the Joliet Fire Department, and Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus arriving to the school riding a motorcycle. Throughout the day, students played games with Illinois State Police Troopers and Walmart Associates and enjoyed snacks and crafts. In addition, all students received a special toy from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
