First-grade students from Deniece Kerner’s classroom at Farragut Elementary School were treated to a visit by the Herald-News features editor and author Denise M. Baran-Unland. She brought along Bertrand the mouse (crocheted, not real!), a character from her children’s books, to meet the six and seven-year-old students. The students enjoyed meeting Bertrand and the stories Denise read to them.
