Junior High Students Serve on Student Leadership Team

The students will meet with District 86 Administrators throughout the school year to empower them to have an active voice in their education.  They will serve as Equity Champions in their junior high schools to help identify equities and possible inequities they or their classmates may be experiencing and help create programs/events to celebrate our rich cultural diversity.

The students include: Dirksen Junior High: Nelvin Chavez, Kailana Graham, Jai Hill, Talon Pagach, Diya Patel, Raven Toran; Gompers Junior High: Natalie Arroyo, Taya McGee, Amy Orozco, Edwin Robles, Erick Ulloa, Olyvia Williams; Hufford Junior High & Individual Education (I.E.) Program: Alejandro Barrios, Isabela Herrada, Abran Hernandez, Zachary Jenkins, Ariel Smith, Kayla Swolley; and Washington Junior High & Academy Program: LaNiyah Daniels, Anthony Lopez, Marvante Mister, Isabel Sanchez, Savon Sherrod, and Tyemiyah Wheeler.
