Thomas Jefferson Elementary School hosted a tree planting ceremony for the City of Joliet's 2022 Arbor Day Celebration. Joliet Mayor O'Dekirk, Joliet City Councilwoman Jan Quillman, and District 86 Superintendent Dr. Theresa Rouse joined Jefferson Principal Consuelo Ramirez and Assistant Principal Ben Meinert for the event. Kindergarten students recited a poem and student winners of the Arbor Day Poster contest were recognized. Seedling trees were distributed to students to encourage planting for the benefit and beautification of the community.
