Eric was runner-up in the 145 Pound Championship Match that went into overtime at Northern Illinois University against Jack Cummings from Wilmette Junior High School. Also representing District 86 at the State Wrestling Tournament were Edwyn Ochoa from Dirksen Junior High and George Orozco from Hufford Junior High School.
