Every school year since 2015, Bernie’s Book Bank has donated six books to all District 86 students in preschool through sixth grade twice per school year. This year alone, over 105,000 books were donated to District 86 students. Once the books are delivered to the schools, students have time to review their books and trade them with their classmates if they wish before they take them home to enjoy. Since 2009, Bernie's Book Bank has distributed over 14 million books throughout the Chicagoland area.
