Students Celebrate 100th Day of School

Students throughout Joliet Public Schools District 86 celebrated the 100th day of school with special activities that focused on the number 100. Activities included making 100 day hats, counting activities, singing 100 day songs, and completing art, math, writing, and computer programs that focused on the number 100.  Many students at Lynne Thigpen Elementary School dressed up as 100-year-olds while students at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School wore shirts they made with 100 items on them to celebrate the special day. Students at Eisenhower Academy also celebrated the 100th minute of the 100th day of school doing 100 activities, including jumping jacks, head rolls, hops, toe touches, and dance moves, all at the same time.
